Becks really has a way with those drums. They make me wanna dance, even tho I will never be able to move like Amber does. Their movement is art, but I dance anyway. I almost shove Vhu over the railing but he regains his balance and laughs, He takes another shot of that delicious raspberry liquor master Tardlur brewed. Amber dares me to take one as well. We take it with arms entangled, but I have to squat a little to do it. I kiss them before I stand up again. Their eyes look so beautiful in this light. I have never loved anyone as much as them. They’re the best that has ever happened to me. Becks goes even faster on her drums, and as I turn around I see master Tardlur has apparently had a couple shots too much. He spins around on his shell like a break dancer. Looks funny. Everyone laughs as he bounces off a wall and shakily gets up on his feet again. I’m feeling a little dizzy as well, but it’s okay. In the other place I could never truly relax, everyone was waiting for an opportunity to get to me. But here it’s okay. I never thought I could feel something like this. I appreciate them all so much. I tell them, and Amber blinks at me, reaches up, pets my head and tells me I drank too much. They smile. I love them so much. I want another shot. Amber pours in my mouth and flicks my nose when the shot glass is empty. I almost fall over but it’s okay. Everyone laughs again but not in a mean way.

Otho’s spell goes off and tells us it’s midnight. We all gather down by the river and sit down in the grass. Master On Quo and Lucy said they prepared something special for tonight, and they didn’t lie. I have never seen so many colours. One coloursful explosion after another blooms on the other side of the river. It’s almost as beautiful as Amber, who stands behind me and rests their elbows on my shoulders and their chin on top of my head. I know they’re smiling too. I love them so much. Everyone around me is amazed, we congratulate Lucy on her spellcraft. I look around and see all my friends smile and laugh. My heart feels like it will burst. Maybe my head will hurt tomorrow, but this evening is perfect.
